The Key Elements to Internet Marketing A DIY Guide

The Key Elements to Internet Marketing A DIY Guide

So you have a website, and you want to increase your traffic to sell your product. There are thousands of the websites just like yours, so how will you be seen? There are basically 3 options. You can pay some company thousands of dollars to market your site for you; you can hire someone full time to do the marketing for you; or you can do the marketing yourself. This guide will give you the basic knowledge you need to market your website successfully at your own pace.

First, you need to have realistic expectations. Web sites do not get in the top 10 in search engines over night. There is a lot of hard work that needs to be put into a site for it to rank high. I would grab a pen and paper and write down your main competitors. Then I would use the Google Toolbar to check their pagerank and incoming links to see how they rank. The higher the pagerank and more links pointing to your site, the higher your site will be in the search engines. Once you see how many links are pointing to their site and how good their pagerank is, you have an idea how much work is needed to get your site listed.

Link trading is the process in which you will get these links pointing to your site. You need to contact other similar, good ranked pages and tell them how trading links will benefit both sites, and then link to them, and in exchange they will link to you. The more pages linking to you the better, but remember quality, relevant high pagerank sites is what your looking for, you want your link to be on a pagerank 2 site as least, preferably 3+. Managing your link exchange program takes time, some software on the market can do this for you, some of the software is good, some bad. I would recommend adding the links to your site manually to start, until you get a better understanding of the SEO world.

Articles are another good method to establish links to your site. Unlike a regular link exchange which is just a sentence with a link, publishing an article you wrote will give other websites quality content about your business / products and also link back to your site. Most article sites do not require a link back to them, so when your link is published search engines count that link better then a standard link exchange because you are not linking back.

One-way links is just that, a link to your site, but in return you do not link back. Articles are great one-way links, but so are directories! There are numerous directories on the internet ranging from shopping to home improvement. You can go to these sites, and either for free, or a small fee you can submit your site to them. Having your site listed in the major directories benefits your site in 2 ways. First, you get a link back to your site, increasing your link popularity, and second, people searching the directories for your product may see your site and buy from you.

As you can see, getting your site listed in the major search engines will take some time to do, you need to manage a link exchange program, submit your article to publishers and directories, and maintain your current website, but remember if you take your time, and establish your presence steadily over time, then your website will begin climbing in the search engines, and you will begin to enjoy the benefits of increased traffic.

Did You Ever Wonder............?

What it would be like to have enough money to pay ALL of your bills for the month on the first day of the month?  Did you ever wonder what it would be like to no longer need a job?  Did you ever wonder what it would be like to be able to travel, anywhere, at any time, and be making money 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, the whole time you are travelling?  Did you ever wonder what it would be like to pay cash for your dream home? Did you ever wonder what it would be like to pay cash for the luxury, sports, classic, or antique car of your dreams.

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to pay off all of your children's and grandchildren's debts?  Did you ever wonder what it would be like to own your own airplane, and have a private pilot?  Some links in this article are affiliate links from which we may receive a tiny commission at no additional cost to you should you visit a merchant via our link and subsequently make a purchase.

Did you ever wonder what it would be like if you could live on a cruise ship 12 months out of the year, and all you would need is an Internet connection to continue funding your laptop lifestyle.

Are you tired of work-at-home programs that promise pie-in-the-sky but only deliver doggy doo doo?
No one can guarantee you success, in fact most Internet marketers are doomed to fail, because they don't follow instructions, they have poor mentors, or they are afraid to take any risks.

Original Ways To Make Money With No Money-a Short Education

Original Ways To Make Money With No Money-a Short Education

An opportunity should never be bought into. By definition, an opportunity is something that people will never sell you. From franchises to swamp land in Florida, to patents and inventions, it makes no difference. There's nothing wrong with any of the things mentioned, however if somebody is trying to sell you these things, then they are not opportunities by definition.

An "opportunity" is an advantage that you can see that others cannot. I don't care about the dictionary definition, this is the real world definition. Opportunities are free. They don't cost money to observe. Of course I don't mean they won't cost you money, you may need some money to act on it. But if you are paying money so somebody can sell it to you (a sales commission) You should run for the hills.

So, getting back to my definition of an "opportunity."

“Its an advantage that you can see that others cannot”

So what that means is that you have vision while others do not. We are awash with money around us. Money or “value” is everywhere. As “Hayden Muller” says, “it permeates our lives like oxygen” The difficulty is not finding opportunity. It is literally everywhere all the time. We are suffering from snow blindness if we still work for a living when such abundance is around us in our every day lives.

The difficulty is not money either. Having access to a few hundred dollars is all you need to take advantage of a million daily opportunities that present themselves in our daily lives. Anyone with some determination can find that much.

No, the real difficulty is knowledge, or education. It's what separates action from indifference. The question becomes, “so what?” “so what if I took this opportunity and made a few dollars, what next?” You see, without education, opportunities are meaningless. They lead nowhere because we lack vision. Don’t worry, I lacked plenty of vision myself.

Today you could drop me out of the sky into any free city on the Planet with nothing but the shirt on my back, a device with Internet connection, and I would be living well within 3 months and be financially secure within 2-4 years. I know I can do that because my vision tells me I easily could.  Some links in this article are affiliate links from which we may receive a tiny commission at no additional cost to you should you visit a merchant via our link and subsequently make a purchase.

Put me in the middle of New York, I would immediately find markets to deal in. Even before I found a place to sleep, I would begin learning about what free markets are available and what they most want and need. I would quickly establish contacts with suppliers and retailers to become the “middle man” my favourite place to be.  Yes, I am the "middle man" for a wide variety of companies, from jewelers to travel agencies to Amazon, and it didn't cost me a dime.

Within a week, I would have a few hundred dollars saved. I would use those funds and pyramid my purchases for faster and faster turn over until I had enough to buy small assets that are in high demand. Cars, boats, anything that was being sold that I could find really cheaply. My charm and good looks would make sure I got the best deals and sold them for the highest price (winks)

Charm and good looks aside, the one thing you need is a clear plan. A master plan that gets you from A to B

Making money with no money is easy and rudimentary. Its the opportunities you spot that makes the real difference. But really its the propensity to take action that delivers the results. Before you can take that action, you need to know where you are going.

Your situation is a lot better then the scenario I presented above. You live in a place where you know. You have intimate knowledge of the markets available already present. You have skills and have contacts already that can be of use.

Get a quick short education and go to it. Your first million is not as difficult as you may imagine.

May success find you fast and knowledge find you sooner.  Everybody has a story.  Write yours today.

Get High Quality One Way Links Using Articles

Using articles to get one way, high quality back links is an extremely effective and successful linking technique. Why? When you write an article, you’re providing the fresh content that search engines love and you’re demonstrating your expertise and abilities.

By writing articles, you’re establishing yourself as an authority in your field and creating a positive feedback loop which, in turn, will drive more traffic to your website.

Some links in this article are affiliate links from which we may receive a tiny commission at no additional cost to you should you visit a merchant via our link and subsequently make a purchase.

Follow this three step process to start your article marketing strategy.

Step 1: Research and Write Your Article

The obvious first step is to write your article. Before you turn on your computer and open your favorite word processor, you should spend time planning your article. If you begin typing without any planning, you probably won’t get very far.

You need to brainstorm at least 10 different topics, all relating to your website. You will develop these 10 topics into 10 separate articles.

Once you have your 10 topics, you’ll write one article, 400 to 500 words in length, about each one. Each topic should differ enough to allow you to reach the minimum word count. The topics should be related and easily tied together, but they need to be sufficiently different.

Since you’re writing articles that will be posted to other websites, make sure that you use shorter sentences and shorter paragraphs. Most people on the web will skim the article looking for main points.

Your title should speak directly to the main content. They don’t have to be cute, fancy, or obsessively creative. In fact, you can actually mislead readers if your title is too creative.

Use your main keywords with a quick synopsis of what the article is about (e.g. High Top Shoes Choosing the Right Pair for Your Sport). Simple, direct, and to the point, that’s all you need.

Once you have your article written, it’s time to add your resource box

Step 2: Add a Resource Box for Impact

You need to develop a persuasive resource box that makes its point clearly with a strong call to action. In order to do that, you need to ask yourself these questions:

1. Why should or would the reader of this article click on my link?
2. Would I click on this link?
3. Does the article compel me to seek further information or take action?
4. If I wouldn’t click on the link, why would anyone else?

A five to six line resource box is not unheard of, but a resource box of three to four lines is most generally well received and very successful.

You must give the reader a reason to click your link without sounding like a sales pitch. So, forget the “buy one get one free” offers and the “limited time only” jargon. Just compel the reader with facts and tried not to sound like a salesman.

One critical and often overlooked point is your hyperlink. Make sure that your link’s anchor text includes the keywords that you want to be ranked for in the search engines. Don’t use your personal name or website URL unless those are the terms you want to get ranked for.

Also, make sure the link is functioning correctly and is pointing to the correct page you’re promoting. I see this mistake all the time; you click on a link and get a 404 page not found error. That’s not a good way to make a first impression.

Last but not least, proofread the article. My own technique is to write the article, do a cursory check, then a second check. I do one last proof a day later. I’m amazed at how many mistakes I catch by waiting another day before I start the promotion process.

Step 3: Promote Your Articles

I prefer to write all my articles at once and then promote. You may want to write one article and jump to the promotion right away. You’ll have to determine for yourself which way you like best. Either way works fine.

Now that you’ve written your articles, applied your formatting, finished your proofreading and added your resource box, it’s time to start promoting.

There are several places you can start promoting your articles:

1. Article submission sites and directories

2. E-mail announcement lists

3. Ezine publishers and webmasters that share your target audience

4. Submitting your article to high page rank and high ranking websites

Another great way to promote your articles is to package and distribute them by bundling them according to popularity and creating a free e-book, report, or course. You can set up an autoresponder on your website where visitors can sign up and receive your e-book as a free download. Encourage them to distribute the ebook freely.

Get out there and promote your ebook on other sites. Push it around. Get it into the hands of as many people as possible.

Article Marketing – An Effective Strategy

Writing and promoting articles is an effective way to get high quality back links to your website. When you write an article and include a link back to your site, you’re getting a link from a site without the requirement to link back to that same website. Hence, you’re getting a one way link. The article also serves as a PR or marketing vehicle for your site. The article is serving “double duty”. You’re not only getting one way back links, you’re also getting visitors who click through your article’s links.

If you take your time, do your research, and write good, quality informational articles, you will be on your way to higher search engine rankings and more sales. I can almost guarantee it!
